Delicious eggless cake for vegetarians
When we thought of
cake or sweet baked dishes, automatically comes into mind that egg is the main
ingredient in cake recipe. But today due to blend of many yummy ingredients and
research of food professionals, it is possible to bake lip smacking cake for vegetarians.
This mouth-watering cake can be enjoyed by vegetarian people in the occasions like
birthdays, marriage anniversaries, and kitty parties.
This eggless cake
recipe is very simple to bake and at the same time yummy for vegies as well as
others.
To prepare cake, following ingredients are required:
All purpose flour: 2 cups
Powdered Sugar: 1 cup
Cream or malai: 1 cup
Ghee or oil: ½ cup
Baking powder: ¾ tea
spoon
Baking Soda: ¼
teaspoon
Vanilla essence: 4-5
drops
Milk: 1 cup
Salt: a pinch
Dry fruits (Badam,
Kaju) as desired: Finely chopped
Direction for preparing cake batter:
First step is to mix
cream or malai and powdered sugar and beat it till it is fluffy. Keep a side.
Second step is sieve the
flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together in a large bowl three
times.
Third step is to heat
the milk to lukewarm and add vanilla essence.
Fourth step is to add
flour mixture and small quantity of milk to sugar and cream mixture one by one.
Stir it gently to make a smooth batter.
Pour the batter in
the prepared pan and tap the pan to even it out and break the air bubbles if
any. Bake the cake for 30 -40 minutes at 300 degree centigrade. You can use
thin wooden stick to prick in the centre of cake to check whether it is
perfectly baked or not. If cake is not sticking to wooden stick, it is
perfectly baked. After that transfer the pan to a cooling rack and allow it to
cool. Remove the cake after 15-20 minutes and place it into serving plate.
Decorate it with icing sugar according to occasions.
This cake has real
taste and people will enjoy eating in special occasions.
