These mental ailments cause transient variations of consciousness with and without postural failure.



According to diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorder, 4th edition, psychiatrist syndromes are categorized as anxiety disorder, mood disorder, somatoform disorder, schizophrenia, substance related disorders and eating disorders. In these disorders, there is complex interplay of biological, social, psychiatric elements.

Statistical figures of psychological studies indicated that Psychiatric disorders are more common health issue prevalent in society. Reports indicated that more than 25% of American population is given treatment for numerous Psychiatric disorders.

In present scenario, psychological research demonstrated that while number of people are seeking treatment, but rates of disorders have not been fallen much. Psychiatric disorders are more common in adults and elderly people. World health organization reports showed that occurrence of mental disorders among children is very less in Indian culture just 14-20%. These reports displayed that only 20% of children and adolescents grip under mental ailment around the globe.
