This ranges from 8 carat denoted by 333 to 24 carat (pure gold) denoted by 999. 999 - 24 carat - Pure Gold, 958 - 23 carat, 916 - 22 carat, 875 - 21 carat, 750 - 18 carat, 708 - 17 carat, 585 - 14 carat, 417 - 10 carat, 375 - 9 carat, 333 - 8 carat.

- Hallmarking Centre Logo is used to check where the jewellery has been evaluated and hallmarked.
- Year of Marking is the Code letter signifies the year of hallmarking of jewellery and is decided by BIS. For instance: letter 'A' Denotes Year 2000,'J' for 2008.

- Jeweller Identification Mark is the identification mark of BIS Certified Jeweller or manufacturer of jewellery. It is to be noted that KDM jewellery is not Hallmarked jewellery. Therefore KDM is not form of pure gold.
