Employees are more concerned with promotion in organization to stay, enhance talent and work with respect. Promotion denotes as the transferral of a personnel to a job that increase remuneration or they get high standing in department. It is a career breakthrough. Promotion may be provisional or long-lasting. It depends upon the organizational requirement.



There are certain definite grounds for refuting a promotion:

First factor is employee’s performance that is not excellent that company needs. Performance appraisal is a deciding for promotion. All MNCs have expectation that employees must give their best to boost revenue and productivity of company. 


Another factor that disrupt the process of promotion is lack of initiative of employees. Employees sometimes concentrate on assigned projects and do not think about company’s future objectives.

Sometimes, employees have over confidence on work they are doing. It may have negative effects on performance as well as up gradation in company. In overconfidence, employees have a feeling that they gain mastery over skills and can perform better than other fellows. In this process, they do not involve in further learning and grasping new technology for company. This is the major factor for denying promotion in company.

Employees when give their excellent performance and caring for company must communicate to seniors.  They must discuss their achievements of completing complex task of organization with top management to make them aware about their efforts.

To get promoted, other key factor is the personal conduct and convincing power. Employees must develop vigour to convince seniors that they are suitable for promotion as they have contributed for company at their level best.
Employee’s presentation skills are also responsible their promotion in company.

It is good to be punctual in work and attend the office on time and follow office etiquette to get promotion. Senior management also observe the hygiene and grooming in employees. Survey reports signified that employees that who wear provoking, skimpy attires, make bold makeup, bad fragrance and unprofessional hairstyles are not selected for promotion. They must follow dress code of company.


Team work is the key success factor of any company. Top management closely watch whether candidates have team spirit or they have ability to get along with colleagues. This factor is also considered while selecting candidates for promotion.


To wrap up, promotion strands, promotion is highly important for any personnel in company to ascend the career graph. Employees constantly appraise their skill, personal outlook and their yearning to work to get promotion.
