Paragliding: Exhilarating sporting activity

always captivate youngsters and other age groups who can participate. Many of
us are excited to explore the facts of flying in the sky. Human’s invention of
aircraft, gliders made the dream true of such people. Paragliding is the frivolous and competitive
sport of flying. In this recreational
sport, participants feel like hovering in the sky. This sport looks like to
hang gliding but exactly it is not. Paragliding has gained huge popularity
among numerous adventure sports.
Paragliders are
light-weight, foot-launched aircraft that are built on a non-rigid frame. Paragliders typically
have weight of around 12 to 15 kgs and can be effortlessly packed into a
backpack. The wing of the paraglider is made of rib stop nylon cloth and the
wing of the paraglider is maintained by the flow of air across it. The wing
forms the cover and the pilot sits under it and is held in place by a harness.
The aircraft is manoeuvred using two lines called the brake lines, which are
pulled for turning.
Paragliders work on
the same principle of aerodynamics as in Boeings. Though, they are slower than
Boeings and can be magnified even if there is very less wind. The process of
using a paraglider is to run on a gentle slope till the paraglider lifts you
off the ground. If the paraglider does not expand absolutely, the launch is
terminated.
It is informed that paragliding
generally does not require an engine propeller. Paragliders have soft wing
structures, which once magnified have an elliptical shape. Also, paragliders
fold handily into a small bag. The flight can last for several hours and if the
pilot is adroit at direction, he/she can gain altitude up to thousands of feet.
Interesting fact is
that paragliding can be enjoyed by people of any age group or gender but
requires some training. In paragliding as an aviation sport, there is a total
control in the hands of individual flying the glider. He/she can stop and
terminate the take-off at any time he/she wants. Paragliding sport gives you
total freedom. While going to voyage through paragliding, sports lover can
fully enjoy the beautiful landscape from different angle.
In India, there are
several paragliding destinations such as Bir Billing in Himachal Pradesh, Solang
Valley Manali, Kamshet in Pune (Maharashtra), Vagamon in Kerala, Panchagani
close to Mumbai, Nandi Hills near Bangalore, Kunjapuri (approximately 7 km,
which passes through the beautiful Garhwal Himalayas), .
Paragliding
principally needs a good sense of judgement to synchronize the forces of
nature. While going for paragliding, it is important for person to obey the
rules of sport, gain pilot attitude and use safe equipment and helmets. For
paragliding, equipment such as parachute like wing, harness, reserve and radios
are required.

interesting points about this aviation sport, it is settled that paragliding fascinates
majority of people who have fantasy for flying in the sky. Paragliding is a
dissimilar sport which allows participants to become one with his surroundings
and relish the flight like a free bird.
