Floating market is a

floating market is now opened in Kolkata's Patuli area in West Bengal. It is open
for public from January 2018, in Kolkata. The market has over 200 shops. This
floating market is established by the Kolkata Metropolitan Development
Authority. This market operates exclusively on boats at the lake in Patuli,
where merchants vend different types of items like fruits, vegetables, fish,
and grains. The Floating Market of Patuli’, is 500 mts long and 60 mts wide. The
market is divide into four segments such as fish, meat, grocery and vegetable.
The footpaths on the water body will help customers to approach these areas and
there will be floating boat shops on each sides of these paths that would be
used to sell goods.
In this unique
floating market in West Bengal, merchants are selling their goods at reasonable
rates so that all types of customers can enjoy shopping in this market.
