Causes of wrist pain in middle age
Wrist pain is a general
medical complaint by middle aged people. Wrist joint is responsible for basic
movements. The wrist is the intricate joint between the forearm and hand. When
it is affected, person has difficulty for normal activities in life. Pain
occurs suddenly due to injury or fracture. If any parts of the wrist such as
bones, ligaments, or tendons, become wounded, it results in wrist pain. If
wrist pain is reoccurring, it may be due to repetitive stress injuries and
swelling of the joints.

injury, Wrist tendonitis, Wrist bursitis, ganglion cyst and wrist sprain.
Osteoarthritis occurs when
the cartilage that protects the ends of bones worsens over time. Osteoarthritis
in the wrist is unusual and usually occurs only in people who have injured that
wrist in the past.
In rheumatoid arthritis, the
body's immune system attacks its own tissues. Rheumatoid arthritis commonly
involves the wrist.
Carpal tunnel syndrome
develops when there is increased pressure on the median nerve as it passes
through the carpal tunnel, a passageway in the palm side of wrist.
Wrist Tendonitis is an
extremely common problem among people. When the tendons in the wrist become
inflamed or irritated, people may be experiencing wrist tendonitis. Wrist
tendonitis can also occur when people have developed micro tears in the tendons
of the wrist. Most often, it is the result of repetitive use an unnatural
position for long stretches of time, forceful exertion, jobs that involve
vibration, aging and sports.
Ganglion cysts occur most
often on the part of wrist opposite palm. Ganglion cysts may be painful, and
pain may either deteriorate or improve with activity.
