Forgetfulness drives mental abnormality in elderly phase

Forgetting is a cognitive decline feature of humans and rampant when they age. Forgetfulness does not indicate mental anomaly. Individuals normally forget simple things in their normal living.

Brain network alters when people step up into late adulthood or in elderly stage. Cognitive functions of Individuals weaken which unfavorably impact on mental wellbeing. Elderly people find difficult to grasp new concept or technology. They forget words or events frequently. Individuals have problem in retrieving information. But it is a natural process and do not indicate the sign of memory loss. Forgetfulness may be due to some medical ailment, emotional sensitivity or cognitive weakening. Stress, depression and dejection can trigger forgetfulness. Physical conditions that lead to Forgetfulness include improper sleep, extreme fatigue, nutritional deficit.

Absentmindedness normally occurs when people are not attentive in surrounding. If people maintain good physical health and live in positive environment to enhance their mood, their cognitive functions work well and forgetting slows down.

Abnormal forgetting is serious condition and results in mental ailments that can derail normal life. Such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease in which patients are not able to manage their life alone.  People undergo forgetfulness may display several symptoms such as they cannot retrieve words or memoirs, forget recent happenings, mood swings. They do not recognize familiar places

Forgetfulness is not a mental disruption. Lifestyle and some health concerns of Individuals may be major ground of forgetting. Forgetfulness is categorized as a mental syndrome when people face challenges in living normal life and frequently loss memory on simple things. If proper guidance and nourishment is given to patients, they can decelerate forgetfulness.
