Psychological scrutiny of Back bencher and front seater students
It
is envisioned that both backbenchers and front seater students have their
flying zone to gain career success. It is commonly observed that school front
benchers score high in academic courses but cannot hold top technical or
managerial rank at career dais whereas backbenchers rock in grabbing excellent
jobs in giant multinational companies.
From
a psychological viewpoint, students sitting in the front row are more
attentive, staying in the radar of the teacher which enables them to
effectively interact with the teacher in doubt clearing in the subject and
giving prompt reply to academic questions. Through positive interaction they
are well noticed and get opportunities to participate in school debate,
cultural programs and school sports competitions. These are the positive
aspects of front benchers in school in shaping their good career.
It is a myth that students sitting in the back row are the underperformers in
the class because they do not alert and respond in teaching sessions.
When visualizing from a psychological angle, backbenchers in class may be real
heroes in academic settings who touch the pinnacle in career. Front benchers
can offer solutions to intricate academic issues whereas backbenchers are
habitually armed to practically manage challenges and hindrances in achieving
scholastic targets. Backbenchers are highly adroit in problem-solving.
From
the voice of several teachers, back benchers are outstanding in their academic
period because they have liberty to plan their studies, resilient and creative
thinkers. They possess brilliant communicative skills. Their thought processes
beyond the sky which can bring innovative ideas to execute in the real world
and shape their bright career. These traits enable backbenchers to grab avenues
and succeed in life.
In
a lively scenario of undergraduate program, around sixty students were enrolled
in one batch in which some were studious, others were mediocre and a group of
students sat in back benches that were very playful and easy going. Normally,
lecturers and professors delivered lectures of their subjects according to the
time table. Backbenchers group assigned a funny title to every teacher. One of
the professors was very short who taught agricultural subject So back benchers
normally laughed at him and disturbed the whole class while he delivered the
lecture. When one subject quiz was very close and most of the students were
preparing to clear the quiz, one of the students in the backbencher group
showed a funny face by fixing paper teeth on her mouth when the professor
turned towards the blackboard and removed it when he faced the students. Whole
class laughed loudly. Professor could not find the reason and asked to maintain
silence as he was delivering a lecture on an important subject. Playful student
repetitively acted like a funny figure and created a hilarious environment in
the lecture room. Students were disturbed and could not understand what the
teacher taught. Front and middle benchers met with the teacher after the
class to clear their doubts. But the naughty student was careless. Same day, in
the evening, she called all his friends and batchmates in the hostel. She told
everyone that I will revise the notes with you and within one hour she covered
all the syllabus. Next day, all students appeared in the quiz. The results were
astonishing as the backbencher who was doing a funny act yesterday scored
brilliantly. It was also a surprise for the professor.
With
the perspective of psychological science, front benchers put all efforts to
score high in academic courses. Front benchers are disciplined, studious and
the favorite of all the teachers. They are highly responsible and selected as
class monitor to control students in class. In contrast, students sitting in
back benches in the class are more active, sometimes behave differently, may
break class discipline, are not sincere in studies, and gossip with classmates
during tutorial or lecture. Backbenchers normally bunk classes that are boring,
cut jokes, do not complete their educational task and get punishment from the
teacher. These negative activities create hurdles in class and sometimes spoil
the school environment.
Wrap
up:
It is a critical debate among academicians about the success and failure of front seaters and backbenchers in the classroom. Sitting positions count a lot in ascending professional career and achieve set targets in life. Though front benchers are shining stars of class and have numerous moral values to create a positive environment in class still back benchers naturally trained in excelling their logical brain and problem-solving adeptness to be highly successful in their professional life. It can be deducted that not all backbenchers are successful in their professional mission. Some backbenchers may not accomplish good career objectives. It is a common consensus that backbenchers override front benchers in shaping professional life.
