Fainting is a mental
state when individual lose consciousness for a short amount of time because
his/her brain is not getting sufficient oxygen.
Fainting, also medially termed as syncope occurs due to a temporary drop
in blood flow to the brain.

In general, Fainting
is triggered by a momentary malfunction in the autonomic nervous system. This
may also lead to low heart beat resulting in a temporary pause to the brain's
blood supply. These triggers include an unpleasant sight, heat, sudden pain, coughing,
sneezing and laughing.
Fainting can also happen
when persons are suffering from extremely low blood pressure when they stand
up. This is called orthostatic hypotension, and older people are more
vulnerable to this poor medical condition. Possible causes of fainting due to
low blood pressure are dehydration, diabetes, medication, neurological ailment
that affect nervous system such as Parkinson’s disorder.
Persons who have
heart problem are prone to fainting because it interrupt the brain's blood
supply. Risk factors for fainting may be chest pain, blocked blood vessels to
heart, and weakened heart chambers. It is highly recommended to rush to nearby
doctor if person is complaining above medical issues.
