Correct way of Brushing teeth to avoid severe dental diseases
Teeth cleaning is
highly important to become healthy. For good dental care, people must know
correct style of brushing teeth. None of the dental treatment can substitute
the firmness of natural teeth.
Most of us have an
impression that we take utmost oral care through brushing twice a day, rinsing
after a meal. But dentists advice that we have to know proper brushing style
for longer life of teeth. It is
suggested that we have to brush our teeth twice a day with a soft-bristled
brush. We must choose the size and shape of brush that fit our mouth and allow
to reach all areas of mouth easily. It is highly recommended to replace
toothbrush every three or four months, or sooner if the bristles are frayed.
People must be aware
of proper brushing techniques. That is place toothbrush at a 45-degree angle to
the gums. Gently move the brush back and forth in short (tooth-wide) strokes.
Brush the outer surfaces, the inner surfaces, and the chewing surfaces of the
teeth. To clean the inside surfaces of the front teeth, tilt the brush
vertically and make several up-and-down strokes. We should develop a habit of flossing
daily. Flossing is required at least once a day to remove plaque between teeth.
Tongue cleaning is required for to maintain oral hygiene.
There are some habit
we usually follow in dental care in ignorance. We should not brush teeth for
longer period. We should not rinse our mouth immediately after brushing. Spit
the toothpaste out, but the moment water enters in mouth, it cuts down the
efficacy of the fluoride from toothpaste. We should not keep tooth brush and
paste in bathroom because when we flush toilet, the contents of toilet bowl are
sprayed in all directions.

awareness about proper way of brushing the teeth for good oral care and
longevity of teeth.
