Ways to reduce unemployment in global society

World is under grip of unemployment at alarming rate. Unemployment is considered as a critical issue for countries in recession period and it has backlash in younger generation.   Unemployment is prevalent and emerging due to many reasons in present scenario. It is witnessed that massive amount of people have lost their occupation due to decrement in job opportunities and credit crunch on industries. Many economists and business researchers predict unemployment as a multifarious problem which will upsurge at speedy rate to affect millions of people in future if immediate efforts are not made to control the situation.

The major concern of government is to prevent the growing trend of unemployment. Though government as well as Multinational Corporation are seriously looking to tackle problem of unemployment at global scale, still it is exploding at alarming rate.  Many economists asserted that it is really difficult to avert unemployment but Government can support and implement new policies to create abundant of jobs for jobless youths. To tackle grim situation ascends from joblessness, several nations have devised effective strategies and measures to recruit and train the jobless talented candidates. Government leaders have learnt the lesson from earlier economic downturns when prompt decisions were not made to combat unemployment and it has grave repercussion in global society. According to financial academicians, developed countries used various measures to resolve high employment crisis. Government is concentrating on the major factors how employment can be attained and how to balance between demand and supply in the labour market. The main target of the administration of many countries is to attain full employment to people who are adept and eager to work through effectual policies.

In current global scenario, national and international community is under grip of unemployment. Economic policy makers graded this issue on top priority and trying to implement efficacious strategies to lessen unemployment in developed as well developing nations. Embryonic theoretical literature demonstrated that unemployment is a result of the skirmish between capital and labour over distribution of the results of production. The effect is reliant on on the power of employees versus employers. When unemployment explode in any society or country, it exert great pressure on the budget of individuals, trade, the Government and the national financial system.

Many experts articulated that unemployment will recede when countries recover from the global economic slump which affected millions of people to become unwaged. When joblessness persist for longer period, it may worsen the living standards of countries and threatens a downfall in social consistency. It is advised that government must take initiative to execute strategies to reduce unemployment as they have vital role in supporting to industries that are in extreme financial crunch. It is the responsibility of government to offer good training and education to the unwaged people to improve skills and communication. Another important role of government is to generate awareness among jobless people for finding jobs through providing enough information in job centres and initiate programs to overcome a recession in a country.

The Government must devise policies to create demand in the economy. It can be done by funding to businesses to produce goods, provide profitable projects, and cut interest rates to encourage spending. These major steps may resolve the current unemployment up to some extent in a country.

Among different types of unemployment, the Real Wage Unemployment is grim in market. Real wage unemployment occurs when real wages boost above the equilibrium level for an industry. To reduce Real wage unemployment, real product wage would be cut considerably.  Economists mainly focus on faster economic growth and cut in real wage to resolve unemployment in country. If economic growth is faster, there are more options for creating jobs for unwaged youths.

It is advised by business academics that Keynesian policies also can be adopted to reduce unemployment which are based on demand management. These policies need to increase the level of cumulative demand for goods and services in the economy. Policies are made to increase the government spending specially in the area of investment and infrastructure. The Government can boost the level of its own spending. This directly increases total demand which can bring equilibrium in national income. Continual economic growth may generate bountiful jobs in the economy. Another effective Keynesian policy for lessening unemployment is reduction in taxation, increasing disposable income and spending in direct or indirect means. Lowing direct taxation raises consumer’s disposable income and should improve domestic spending.

Monetary policy also involves changes in the value of the exchange rate since fluctuations in the currency also impact on macroeconomic activity. These policies aimed at improving the competitiveness and profitability of industries which generate huge level jobs for people. It can be attained through lower interest rates to encourage the demand for credit, cut saving and increase consumer’s real disposable incomes which will improve expenditure and demand.

Another procedure to lessen joblessness is the depreciation of the exchange rate.
Today, globalization changes the patterns of employment between countries. Structural unemployment persists where there is an inequality between employee abilities and the necessities of the new job opportunities. Numerous approaches can be adopted to lessen structural unemployment. These are dynamic labour market policies. The first involves direct government action to provide suitable jobs to the unemployed. Labour market reform policy is made by using labour market program to improve the flexibility and to trim down structural unemployment. It can boost the labour productivity, control cost increase and improve flexibility in the supply of the labour market. The main aim of this policy is to increase labour market productivity for long term sustainable economic and employment growth. Labour market program improves the ability of the jobseeker to compete successfully in the labour market. Training programs are most effective which can provide reemployment to unemployed.

Jobseekers may get jobs by improving geographical mobility of labour. Geographical mobility is major factor to find suitable employment. It is the responsibility of the government to sanction grants or low cost housing to promote workers to move to other regions for better jobs. Mainly unemployment in a country stemmed from normal working of an economy Frictional and seasonal factors. Frictional unemployment ascends due to improper information in the labour market. To decrease frictional unemployment, the government must appraise implementation policies that improve job information. Many economists visualized that if better information on job vacancies in the labour market is available, it can save job search time and enhance financial condition of job seeker. To reduce unemployment, the government could cut direct taxes for the low paid to increase the post tax wage and, therefore, encourage them to find work easily.

Self-employment is another viable alternative to generate income and reduce unemployment rate. Several Studies reveal a positive impact of economic recession, which pushes unemployed workers to become self-employed. This has great impact of economic development, where growth opportunities stimulate an increase in entrepreneurial activity. In Indian scenario, lots of companies offer contract job such as construction companies, Advertisement Company or content writing companies.  Candidates can rigorously search for job in online portal to get suitable job.

To wrap up emerging facts about unemployment trends, it is well realized that global community is severely afflicted by issue of unemployment. Unemployment is recognized as grim social problem which affect millions of people. It outbreak because government in most of the nations has snubbed the issues and implemented feeble policies. These reckless approach of responsible officers and private enterprises wrecked the younger generation and make their future dark.  This caused fragile economy and cuts in jobs and income support. Though full employment cannot be achieved but unemployment is taking a form of epidemic in present global society.  Many economists and intellectuals deeply studying this grave issue and trying to offer solution. It is stated by experts that when any nation tries to lessen unemployment, the initial step is to identify the causes of unemployment. Major factors essential to combat unemployment and improving economy are Political commitment to the policy of full employment and agreement among the social groups to emphasize on job growth priority over wage growth, coordinate fiscal, wage and monetary policy,   tax financed expansion of public service employment or other service strategies, establishing socially and individually practical activities outside formal employment. Government initiative is highly important to curb the catastrophe arises due to unemployment at global scale. It is presumed by economic researchers that unemployment will certainly increase in future. It will have damaging effects on the labour market and remain for long duration. Time has come to exterminate the problem from its source.

Festival sale: how beneficial it is for customers

Deepavali festival is most auspicious and important religious ceremony for Indian populace and NRI from all over world celebrate with religious tradition and fervour. In this festive season, business companies and marketers channelize appealing marketing campaigns for their products and services whether it is real estate, mobile company, garment industry, jewellery business or food, furniture and retail market. Masses of business firms announce attractive offers to targeted customers in terms of sale, discount, gift options and many other. Companies launch wide array of products in Deepawali as there is a great enjoyment, exhilaration and cheerfulness among all customers to get benefit from purchasing large pool of items. They allure customers through promising to provide superior quality products at low prices. They broadcast buyback offer, low initial payment, low interest rate etc.

Generally, people plan shopping in festive season to get trendy items of their choice and requirement and they have impression that sale offers from showrooms and companies may be highly advantageous and wrap in their budget.

In technical savvy community and cutthroat competition, many merchandizers have really good policies for consumers. But it is an alert for all consumers to comprehend the attractive offers of companies before inclining to purchase items or services as their hard earn money must be spent in proper way. Most of us are magnetized by investment schemes, special offers and gifts offered by myriads of companies in various industries. And people usually do bulk purchasing even though they don’t need items at that moment due to cheaper rate and effective schemes. They even go beyond their budget in buying process. Companies nattily escalate their sale and generate huge revenues through their astute schemes and offers in auspicious occasions like Deepavali.

Few instances can be cited:

Some times in showroom, it is written up to 80 % discount. When customer go to purchase, sales representative inform them that customer will get 20 or 30 % only. In this way, customers are discouraged as they spend lots of time in selection and quality check of the product. Many times, shop keepers offer gift vouchers and when customers ask for redeem, they tell that it will be accommodated in next purchase or sometimes it is expired.

It is not the case of renowned brands as they retain high level to satisfy existing customer and build long term relationship. But some showrooms may offer products and services which may not be according to requirement of customers.

Consumers today are slightly aware of bogus merchants but they may be defeated by temporary offers by firms who conduct fake marketing for their products and services. Therefore, customers first focus on their necessities, budget and then do extensive research on products which they have plan to buy in festive season. There are several duplicate and fake products in market during such occasions and sellers may swindle customers through their smart talkative power. This may also tarnish the brand of popular and leading products.

Customers through their brilliant purchasing can enjoy Deepawali celebration and give real meaning to their life. In festive season shopping, massive discount is offered by online companies as well as physical market. Buyers can make best deal through comparing prices, exchanging their old items with new one and chase products that will be useful for future.

Very important: Customers must make number of queries before buying a product and if seller deviates from their offer or words, it is a warning signal that their products are not authentic. Before purchasing, customers are recommended to perform market survey. Because some times, new business entrants offer quality products with highly reasonable price. Therefore instead of going to established market place, customer may get premium products in nearby market or shops. These trends must be comprehensively checked by customer at their end.  It is highly significant to develop good bargaining power in order to get genuine items and if you are not in too much hurry. These days, marketers also keep on modifying their strategies as per requirement and choices of customers.

His name was Joy and he was talking on his mobile. Suddenly she saw, one speedy truck coming from the back of the car on the road. She shouted and pushed the youth to other side and fell on him. Awareness of Robotic Surgery for medical solution of critical diseases

In technically savvy environment, medical field has made revolutionary progression which facilitated medical researchers, doctors and other intellectuals to offer their services to client and give best treatment with ease and simplified way. One of the dominant technique for surgical operation of numerous critical diseases is robotic surgery. Robot is a mechanical device that can be programmed to carry out instructions and perform complicated tasks normally done by individuals in their daily life.

Robotic surgery is a technique to perform surgery using very small tools attached to a robotic arm. The specialist controls the robotic arm with a computer. Surgical robotics is a novel technology that has positive outcome and patients may get successful treatment without extended stay in hospital. Historical data revealed that the first surgical application of robot technique was used to guide a needle for brain biopsy with 0.05mm accuracy. In 1987 robotics was used in the first Laparoscopic surgery, a cholescystecotomy. In 1988, The PROBOT, developed at Imperial College London, was used to perform prostatic surgery.

In 1992, the robodoc was introduced for use in hip replacement surgery in coring out the femoral shaft to accept the hip replacement prosthesis. In clinical trial, robodoc has been found to have greater accuracy as compared to conventional technique. It has been used in more than 50000 human hip replacement procedures in Europe. At that time, it gained wider acceptance.

Robotic surgery is often signalled as the new uprising, and it is a key topic of dialogue in surgical arena among medical researchers, surgeons or doctors. Prime objective of choosing robots in medicine is to provide enhanced diagnostic capabilities, a less invasive and more relaxed experience for the patient, and the ability to do smaller and more exact intermediations.

Robots surgery is adopted by surgeons to treat myriads of medical problems such as prostate surgery, hysterectomies, the removal of fibroids, joint replacements, open-heart surgery and kidney surgeries. They can be used along with MRIs to provide organ biopsies. Since the surgeon can see pictures of the patient and control the robot through a computer, he/she can perform surgery in safe medical location other than surgical room in hospital. In other words, if patient is at distant location, surgeon can use robot surgery to cure the diseases if urgently required.

Robotic surgery is analogous to laparoscopic surgery. It can be performed through smaller cuts than open surgery. The small, precise movements that are possible with this type of surgery give it some advantages over standard endoscopic practices.

Robotic surgery may take time to complete the surgical procedure because surgeon has to establish the robot. Many hospitals may not have access to this method.

Robotic surgeries are used for different procedures such as:

·        Coronary artery bypass
·        Cutting away cancer tissue from sensitive parts of the body such as blood vessels, nerves, or important body organs
·        Gallbladder removal
·        Hip replacement
·        Hysterectomy
·        Kidney removal
·        Kidney transplant
·        Mitral valve repair
·        Pyeloplasty (surgery to correct ureteropelvic junction obstruction)
·        Pyloroplasty
·        Radical prostatectomy
·        Radical cystectomy
·        Tubal ligation

Robotic surgery is a new medical concept to perform surgery and is in its embryonic stage. Surgeons choose robot surgical method for smaller surgical procedures.

Talent management in constantly changing global market

Talent management can furnish corporations to develop long-term policies so that right candidates can be recruited to boost the business success.  Talent management is an embryonic practice to espouse new technology for good health of organization. In management literature, plethora of researchers have elaborated the term talent management. Talent management is an incorporated set of processes, programs and cultural norms in any firm designed and implemented to attract, develop, deploy and retain talent to achieve strategic objectives and meet future business needs. The objective of human resource management to categorize, manage and retain talent across the organization to set new strategies of success. It is necessary that organizations integrate a highly functional talent management solution across all aspects of the business.

Talent management has become a standard for organizations to create competitive advantage through their human capital assets. This can be accomplished by enhancing current personnel performance and preparing for the future. It can be well elaborated through example of Software Company like Infosys technologies which diplomatically manages its employees through effective human resource management. Company has massive workforce and it maintains a family relationship with all employees through various employment relation programs such as health programs, counselling services, athlete events and celebrations that are open to employee’s families. At Infosys, knowledgeable directors understand the relation between recruitment and other HRM Practices.

In technically savvy and knowledgeable market, time is becoming increasingly detached from value. Person’s devotion of time does not matter.  In competitive business environment, there is a worth of knowledge and skill which are applied to create, innovate, produce, service and entertain. Management cannot simply implement policies to retain employees and watch performance of employees. Managers have to make extreme efforts to handle intricacy of employees. Swotting the present studies, it can be evaluated that organizations must accept challenges of selecting talent, as well as the impact of managers has on employee revenue as a backdrop to address management challenges. To deal with employees, organizations must consider employee expectations, goal accomplishment, performance tracking and feedback, and employee appraisals. Managers must develop an Integrity Managing Culture where the employee can freely provide the status of project advancement, demand appropriate tools. Employees must be allowed to report if any conflicting situation arises or difficulties hindering them to complete the assigned task due to rapid changes in environment.

Business researchers have affirmed that companies must assess the external factors to overcome the challenges of global competitiveness and uncertainties because it can lead to business failure. Leading global company, McDonald who offers food products and services is affected by numerous environmental factors in various stages in the marketing process. In business operation, McDonald has tough competition with its rivals in global marketplace. But McDonald thrived in business through its innovative policies since many years to manage people at work. Globalization brought significant changes in business operations, speeded up newest technology, and unparalleled changes to fiscal system in international business.

Employees of McDollald's are grouped in to restaurant workers, corporate staff, and franchise owners. In McDonald, employee training is highly structured. Ends-level workers are trained with the basic Crew Training System. The program consists of on-the job- training and is mainly vocational. At each stage of advancement, a new training program is executed to sharpen the skills. Crew trainers are promoted to swing manager and perform successfully. Then they are qualified for the Management Development Program to take technical and functional management training. Such training magnetizes employees to enhance their career and stay in organization.

Employee management practices have direct effect on the performance of a company with the employee level. Employee management programs are implemented to retain, inspire, develop and compensate employees so that employees are energized to produce high quality work. Employees are satisfied with effectual management program and give their best performance. Empirical researches have revealed that talent management practices have positive impact on employees and performance of company.

In essence, it is well appraised by management professionals that talent management is powerful for people management in small and medium sized organizations. It is necessary for business enhancement around the globe as it develops leaders.

Dispose of Electronic garbage for human safety

Electronic garbage denotes to consumer and business electronic gadgets that has ended its lifecycle for human application.

Electronic garbage includes the following:

-      TV, computer monitors, printers, scanners, keyboards, mouse, cables, circuit boards, lamps, clocks, flashlight, calculators, phones, answering machines, digital/video cameras, radios, VCRs, DVD players, Mobile & Tabs, notebook computers, MP3 and CD players, .

-      Kitchen equipment such as toasters, coffee makers, microwave ovens.

-      Laboratory equipment (hot plates, microscopes, calorimeters)

It is imperative for all of us to know that Electronic equipment consist all types of materials such as dangerous chemicals like lead, cadmium, beryllium, mercury, and brominated flame retardants. When Electronic garbage of gadgets and devices is disposed wrongly, these dangerous materials lead to many threats to environment as well as to human health. These electronic waste can bloat air pollution, contaminating soil, and leak into water sources.

There are many health hazards associated with electronic garbage such as kidney disease and brain damage to genetic mutations.

It is necessary for all users to properly dispose of electronic garbage. There are myriads of options to either recycle or dispose of e-waste.

Consumers can drop all types of electronic-waste for recycling at recycle companies. These items include:
-      Cell phones
-      TVs
-      Power cords
-      GPS devices
-      Speakers
-      DVD players
-      Paper shredders
-      Memory cards
-      Desktops
-      Laptops
-      Notebook computers

Around the globe, electronic waste is collated at huge scale. Many countries are struggling to manage heap of electronic waste. It is taking severe form among populace. However, technological advancement is transforming the human activities in world, developing nations such as India is threatened by increasing electronic waste. Developed countries, such as the US, dispose their electronic waste to India and other Asian countries. A recent investigation exposed that the electronic gadgets are recycled in the United States and reused in Asia, where they are either disposed of or further recycled without considering environmental safety or employee health.

It is necessary that developing nations must be awake from the domination of the developed countries and develop appropriate management measures to avert the hazards and accidents due to mishandling of electronic waste.

Techniques to dispose electronic garbage:

To tackle the current situation, many industrialized countries like US has modified certain e-waste disposal methods. Some methods are mentioned below:

Landfilling:

This is common procedure disposing electronic garbage. Soil is excavated and trenches are made for burying the e-waste in it. An impervious liner is made of clay or plastic with a leachate basin for collection and transferring the e-waste to the treatment plant. However, landfill is not eco-friendly process to dispose of the e-waste as toxic substances like cadmium, lead and mercury are released inside the soil and ground water that may have adverse health impact on humans.

Acid bath:

Acid bath is a procedure of soaking of the electronic circuits in the powerful sulphuric, hydrochloric or nitric acid solutions that free the metals from the electronic pathways. The recovered metal is used in the manufacturing of other products while the dangerous acid waste finds its ways in the local water sources.

Incineration:

This is an organised way to manage the e-waste and it involves burning of electronic waste at high temperature in specially designed incinerators. This e-waste disposal technique is relatively beneficial as the waste volume is reduced extremely less and the energy obtained is also utilized separately. But this method emits harmful gases mercury and cadmium in the environment.

Recycling of e-waste:

This technique of handling electronic garbage is utilized by most of the companies. Electronic devices like Mobile phones, monitors, CPUs, floppy drives, laptops, keyboards, cables and connecting wires can be re-used through recycling process. It involves dismantling of the electronic device, separation of the parts having hazardous substances and then retrieval of the precious metals like copper, gold or lead can be done with the help of the effective a powerful e-waste recycler.

To manage electronic garbage and properly disposal of these items, Governments must establish regulatory agencies in each district, which are assigned with the responsibility of co-ordinating and consolidating the regulatory functions of the various government authorities regarding hazardous substances.

Governments must also develop an adequate system of laws, controls and administrative procedures for hazardous waste management. There is a need to device comprehensive law that provides e-waste regulation and management and proper disposal of hazardous wastes.

It is well perceived that electronic garbage is perilous for human health as certain components of some electronic products contain materials that are dangerous, depending on their condition and density. Rejected computers, televisions, VCRs, stereos, mobile phones, audio equipment and batteries must be disposed of properly. If people are not aware of procedure to manage electronic garbage in eco-friendly manner, it may pose serious health issues. Many of electronic products can be reused, revamped, or recycled in proper way so that they pose less harmful effect to the ecosystem. Public must be aware of how to handle electronic garbage to save human life.
