Yummy Laddus are favourite sweet of most people in India and abroad

Laddu is an Indian traditional sweet, which is offered to God in puja ceremony. It is liked by most of the Indians and people of other countries. Many Indian women make these laddus delicious and amaze their beloved ones by sending it as gift pack who reside at distant. 

Laddu is main sweet in Indian marriages and it is offered to God and distributed as Prasad during ceremony. 

Different types are laddus are made in India such as: 

Besan laddus are very tasty. Ingredients used to prepare these laddus are basen(gram flour), ghee, cardamom, cashews, and almonds. In basen laddus, the calcium and potassium make bones strong and prevent osteoporosis. Cashews are rich in fats, protein and calcium which are responsible for improving brain and bone health. These laddus are consumed by majority of people in India. But basen laddu is high in calorie that’s why only one laddu a day is recommended. These laddus are high in protein, carbohydrates and low in glycaemic index. Basen has high content of folic acid therefore it helps in rapid growth of  red blood cells and white blood cells in bone marrow. Almonds used in laddus are rich vitamin B complex which is responsible for brain growth. 

Boondi laddus are very nutritious, yummy and people of India offer these laddus in numerous religious occasions. These are rich in proteins and carbohydrates. It has high content of magnesium that helps in maintaining blood pressure and lessen cardiovascular health problems. 

Motichur laddus are mouth-watering dessert and it is used in marriages, birthday parties as a main sweet in India. Due to high content in protein and fiber, these laddus may help in weight loss. As like boondi laddus, these are also rich in magnesium which may lower the blood pressure and avert heart hazards. 

Coconut laddus are more popular in south India. These are sold in all over India and favourite sweet of most people. Coconut has high quantity of saturated fats that produce energy. These laddus also contain fibre which is good for the digestive system and keeps heart healthy. Antioxidants in coconut may boost the immune system and there is less chances of tenderness.

Khoya/Mawa laddu are delicious traditional sweet and offered to God in religious puja. Several dry fruits are added to mawa make these laddus more nutritious. 

Moong dal laddus contain very high quantity protein which helps in building and repairing tissues in body. It also contribute in strengthening bones, cartilage, blood, and skin. These laddus have good taste as well as many benefits like helps in digestion, prevent diabetes, and enhance blood circulation. 

Wheat flour laddus are good for health and contain several nutrients to make human body healthy. These laddus are delicious when blend with many dry fruits. These laddus contain high calorie and are very nutritious when sweetened with jaggery. It is a conventional Indian sweet mostly consumed in winter season as it keeps body warm. 

Rava Laddus are light and has good taste when blended with numerous dry fruits like raisins, cashews, almonds.  Also called suji laddus and are rich in protein which helps in strengthening bone and muscle. These laddus are high in Carbohydrates and fibre content that enhances energy levels. Vitamin B present in rava prevents the anaemia disease and responsible for brain development. Rava is high in minerals like magnesium and iron which lessen blood pressure and helps in developing red blood cells. Potassium present in rava helps in kidney health.

Ragi Laddus are nourishes sweet especially for diabetic people. It contains high quantity of iron and calcium. Ragi laddus are made with sugar, ghee, ragi and nuts.

Gond ke laddus are made especially for lactating women but all people of India like these highly nourishing and flavoursome laddus. These laddus have numerous healthy ingredients like pure ghee, wheat flour, dry fruits like dried melon seeds, pumpkin seeds, almonds, cashew nuts, walnut, pistachios and poppy seeds. Since wheat flour and dry fruits are mixed with edible gum, these laddus contain high nutrients which make body strong. Again these laddus are consumed by lactating females especially in winters. These laddus increases stamina and boost immune system to fight with cold and cough in winters. Gond laddus work as a lubricant for joints in the body.

 Dry fruits laddus are rich in nutrients and very easy to cook. Dates are base ingredient in dry fruit laddus which include antioxidants that assist in removing free radicals and stop cell destruction. Dates also improve heart condition and make eyes healthy. With other dry fruits like cashews, almond, and raisins, dates have anti-inflammatory property and help in fighting with life threatening disease like cancer. Dry fruits laddus are good for health as it lessens the blood sugar and fat level in body. It helps in insulin secretion so that diabetic patients can also consume. These laddus are rich in minerals and fibre which is important for digestion. It is also a source of the calcium and potassium content which may strengthen bones and prevent diseases like osteoporosis.

 

 

 

When laddu is made with love and sent to dear ones, they enjoy it. Laddu can be a name of kid who likes laddu very much. People who have great affection with friends, may offer Laddu and enjoy. Laddu is prepared as a sweet Prasad in holy ceremonies like Ganesh puja, in birthday parties and other important ceremonies. Therefore, laddus have great significance and have role in any celebration in India.
