Bone loss is common in aging folks. At this stage of life, people may develop Osteoporosis. In simple words, there is a need of great care when we enter into elderly phase of life.

Bones are dynamic structures, continually modifying themselves through the addition and subtraction of material. Osteoporosis, or bone loss, is an illness that causes bones to become fragile and prone to fracture. With osteoporosis, the bones lose its density. When we become old, body may reabsorb calcium and phosphate from bones instead of keeping these minerals in bones. This leads to weak bones. In a certain stage, it is known as osteoporosis. Females over age 50 years and men over age 70 years have greater risk for osteoporosis.

We must modify our dietary habits to prevent bone loss. Calcium and minerals make bones strong and also help in numerous bodily functions, such as muscle contractions and nerve signal transmission. Vitamin D supplement is necessary to maintain bone density.

We must adopt natural remedies to protect our bones and avoid pain.
The first thing we must do is to engage in Weight-bearing and muscle-strengthening exercises. These exercises stimulate bone formation and decelerate bone loss due to aging. These activities include Walking, Jogging, and using stairs.

To retain bone density and stay healthy, we must plan our diet by adding sprouts and fruits. Diet must contain bone-friendly nutrients, such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, vitamin K, vitamin C, and protein.
Another important thing is to sleep well. It will help to maintain good health.
Lastly, it can be established that good lifestyle, regular exercise can prevent individual from bone loss. Osteoporosis means we are at high risk for bone fractures even though we do not have a severe bone damage. Diet rich in calcium, minerals, Vitamin D is helpful to maintain bone density and make us healthy.
