Biologists discover special features of living organism is beneficial for populace

Biologists study living organisms. They describe and classify them. Research biologists work in the natural world, using the latest scientific tools and techniques in both laboratory settings and the outdoors, to understand how living systems work. Biologists may develop public health campaigns to defeat illnesses such as tuberculosis, AIDS, cancer, and heart disease. They observe and recognize the animals and plants he used and avoided those, which caused harm to him. Biologists are involved in researching new organisms and categorize them for detailed study.


Reports indicated that there are at present about 12, 00,000 species of animals that depend upon 5, 00,000 plant species. Also, there may be many species in the deep rainforests of Asia, Africa and America waiting to be discovered by man. So, life on earth is classified by biologists for proper study and research.



To choose a career as a biologist, candidates must complete Bachelor’s degree in botany, molecular biology or biochemistry.  Most undergraduate biological sciences programs require courses in chemistry, organic chemistry, physics and statistics. Undergraduate botany programs require courses in plant ecology, structure, pathology and genetic.
