Stress: A common mental agony with risky health consequences

Stress is a nature of buzz that deforms the brain and causes a range of mental snags. Individuals may be trapped in challenging environments in the ladder of life which trigger stress levels.  Stress responses may be Self-induced or socially imposed.

Social factors contribute a lot in elevating stress levels. Some sour life events such as career setbacks in terms of losing a job, financial crisis, or bitter relationship may amplify stress which destabilize individuals. Comparisons in social settings, high expectations during studies, and work-related pressures are contributory factors to induce stress. Major environmental stressors that negatively impact the mental health of persons include unmanageable workloads in offices, low remuneration for their professional competence, restricted career growth in companies, insecurity in workspaces or any social settings, lack of interest in the nature of work offered by companies.

Certain internal factors or stimuli may have an unfavorable impact on the mental state of a person and raise stress level.  Individuals who overthink or carry negative thoughts may develop anxious feelings.  Negative self-talk, loneliness or low self-confidence may heighten stress levels. Constant worry, fear of failure in a given task, and being perfect are categorized as intrinsic stressors that may worsen a person's health.

Past toxic events, acrimonious associations in professional setup or in family regime are not easy to erase from mind. Such toxic memories appear suddenly just like pop up advertisements while we are working online and distort our mind. Sometimes our desires or interests are not met in time and later on, people recap their life and get frustrated with that inflamed feeling of stress. In one such real life scenario, a girl who just got married in a different lifestyle culture. Somehow, she tried to cope up with family mores, but irk responses of some female members, she gripped under stress. Main stressors were ignorance, jealousy and competitiveness among the family. Female could not get items that were required after marriage such as ornaments and she was not privileged or informed about some family ceremonies that can be a memory forever. She was not given the opportunity to spend good time with her newlywed partner and was not advised to go to the studio for a pair photo after marriage in traditional dress which may be unforgettable pic for lifetime. In later stages, when she realized that something wrong happened with her in early married life, she underwent extreme stress that was sometimes unmanageable and raised her blood pressure and sugar level. These stressors are heavily precipitated in her mental configuration which are irreversible. Because she cannot alter the past, she often experiences stress that may drive her to depression which is the upshot of intense stress. 

Prolonged stress is alarming and increases the threat of a cluster of mental health issues like anxiety and depression, sleep disorder, or muscle tension.

Bottomline:

Stress response occurs when a person perceives threatening or unmanageable situations. Individuals may experience stressful feelings due to some intrinsic factors and it is triggered from environmental stimuli. In both conditions, stress may significantly wreck the mental well being and weaken the persona.
